SRF Overview:

SENS Research Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to develop new treatments for age-related diseases. Our mission is to bring an end to the suffering caused by age-related illnesses and provide people with longer, healthier lives. We have recently announced plans to merge with Lifespan.io, a non-profit outreach organization dedicated to responsible journalism, advocacy, and strategic media partnerships designed to accelerate progress for the longevity biotechnology industry.

SRF has an 11,000 sq. ft. research center in the heart of Silicon Valley (based in Mountain View, CA) and a team of scientists dedicated to advancing the field of regenerative medicine applied to aging. Our primary mission is to prevent, delay, and even reverse the onset of these diseases, and reduce associated suffering. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Director of Marketing will be responsible for leading all digital and traditional marketing efforts on behalf of the organization as well as working with other departments and programs designed to promote various aspects of the longevity industry. This includes developing and implementing marketing strategies that support our mission and spectrum of goals as we move into a new phase of our organization with the pending merger.

This role involves working closely with internal teams and external partners to plan and execute strategic fundraising initiatives, events, public relations, and oversee key communications across social media platforms and our website. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategy development and execution, budget management, end-to-end campaigns, team leadership, and executive reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with SRF’s mission and objectives.
  • Campaign Management: Design and implement marketing campaigns from inception to completion, ensuring all efforts are coordinated,effective, and achieve planned metrics.
  • Team Leadership: Delegate tasks to staff and external partners, ensuring alignment and efficient execution. Work in collaboration with other senior staff on interdepartmental projects.
  • Fundraising Initiatives: Develop and execute marketing plans to support fundraising programs.
  • Event Management: Collaborate with internal and external resources to plan and promote events that enhance SRF’s visibility and mission.
  • Public Relations: Manage PR efforts to build and maintain a positive public image for the organization.
  • Communication: Ensure consistent and effective communication across all channels, including social media, email marketing, and the SRF website.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on marketing activities, campaign performance, and strategic initiatives to the executive team.
  • Partnership Management: Work with external marketing partners to leverage their expertise and resources for maximum impact.
  • Budget Management: Be responsible for creating and adhering to an annual budget that aligns with strategic goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Ideal experience in non-profits, disruptive tech, and/or news, media, education, and science.

SKILLS:

  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Leadership; proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, social media, design oversight, and content management systems.
  • Deep understanding of GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, email marketing, and other digital platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with fundraising and generating revenue.
  • Strong public relations skills
  • An interest in biotechnology is recommended.
