Intramural Research

The SRF Research Center is our internal research laboratory, and the core of our intramural research efforts. In our lab, researchers undertake proof-of-concept research in rejuvenation biotechnologies, seeking to comprehensively address the disabilities and diseases of aging, repairing the damage done by the aging process at the molecular level.

We are currently pursuing research in three separate areas of SENS-related research: allotopic expression to prevent damage from mitochondrial mutations; research to alleviate the problems of macular degeneration and atherosclerosis; and our new project geared towards understanding the genetic mechanisms of telomerase-independent telomere elongation.
