Extramural Research

SRF has a strong commitment to funding research in furtherance of our mission. Our extramural research program is particularly robust, and we fund research at some of the top universities and research institutions around the world.

In 2012, we extended our extramural research significantly, beginning an additional half dozen research programs. New collaborations have been established that include the addition of a second project on reseeding gut stem cells at Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, an economic study on the ramifications of extended healthy life at University of Denver, and the development of a new mouse model that should be an incredible tool not just for our research, but for medical researchers around the world.
