Fall 2014 Fundraising Message

October 2014

FightAging.org Announces $100,000 Challenge Grant for SRF

SENS Research Foundation has received a challenge grant from FightAging.org and we need your help to make this goal. Here is the challenge in their own words:
The Fight Aging! Fundraiser launched on October 1st and will benefit the SENS Research Foundation, a noted California non-profit that coordinates work in US and European laboratories with the aim of ending frailty and disease in aging. The first $50,000 raised between October 1st and the end of 2014 will be matched with $2 for every $1 donation.
Last year we raised $60,000 for SENS Research Foundation, to help fund ongoing scientific programs that aim to control the root causes of degenerative aging. This year, with the help of a larger group of generous matching fund founders, our goal is $150,000. The following individuals and organizations stepped up to make a difference: Christophe and Dominique Cornuejols, Dennis Towne, Håkon Karlsen, Jason Hope, Methuselah Foundation, Michael Achey, Michael Cooper, and Fight Aging!
Together we have established a $100,000 matching fund: the first $50,000 raised for the SENS Research Foundation in this effort will be matched from the fund at $2 for every $1 donated.
So far we have raised almost $12,000. Please help us reach our $50,000 goal by donating generously today. We may have more challenge grants coming before the end of the year - stay tuned for more chances to help us defeat age-related disease! To donate go to www.sens.org/donate.
