International Association of Biomedical Gerontology, Tenth Congress

The first SENS conference took place at Queens' College, Cambridge University, UK from 19-23 September 2003, under the auspices of the International Association of Biomedical Gerontology; it was also the tenth congress of that organisation (IABG10).

The proceedings of the conference were published in the prestigious Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences (volume 1019).

Speakers included US National Medal of Science awardee Bruce Ames; first President of the American Association of Bioethics, Arthur Caplan; and famed genome researcher, entrepreneur and philanthropist William Haseltine.
