Work for the RC

The RC is always happy to consider applications from individuals who wish to help with its work. If you want to make a difference in the fight against aging, then you may wish to consider applying to join the team as a researcher or volunteer.

Researchers

The RC is sometimes able to offer positions to research scientists with higher degrees or other forms of relevant experience. The availability of these opportunities is dependent on a number of factors, including available funding, research priorities and existing staffing levels. Whilst we have our own, defined research agenda, we are always interested in hearing about other projects which may further our mission.

Some small stipends are available to cover living expenses. If there is funding available to provide a stipend, it will be awarded based broadly on the experience, qualifications, suitability and financial status of applicants.

Details of how to apply can be found below.

Volunteer

The RC also has opportunities for volunteers, to assist with both the scientific and operations support aspects of our work. We aim to provide our volunteers with a supportive and interesting environment, which provides them with challenges and learning opportunities. Needless to say, as a research environment, we are always keen to take on volunteers who have something to teach us, too.

How to apply

SENS Foundation has a centralized process for volunteer applications. In the first instance you should send your application to our Volunteer Coordinator. Please use a subject line of "RC - research application" or "RC - volunteer application", as appropriate, to ensure that your application can be processed quickly.

Your application email should include your name, contact details, the dates on which you are available to work with us, and some idea of the number of hours per week which you could commit. In addition, please provide a short statement which describes your particular interest in the work of the RC, and why you think you are well-suited to working with us. If you are applying for a researcher position, this should include some details of the specific projects in which you would like to be involved.

Finally, please attach an up-to-date resumé to your email.
